Can anyone give advice on where I can CHEAPLY purchase furniture, appliances, dishes, cookware, etc. in Caracas or the state of Miranda? We need to furnish a beach condo during an upcoming two week visit. Have to accomplish everything quickly and cheaply. Thanks for any suggestions....

There are lots of handcrafts in El Hatillo town, southeast of Caracas. But possibly not so cheap.
Mercado de los guajiros, next to Chacaito Metro station, is another good choice, where handcraft from Andean countries is sold.
A little further, you can buy potery or ceramics on the way to Colonia Tovar (Aragua State).
Country stile wood furniture is available on Carretera Panamericana, on the way to San Antonio and Los Teques.
