Ive been doing a lot of research into flights from caracas to los roques and thought I would put what i found on the net and on various threads on this forum in one place which may hopefully be helpful....

I found that the following airlines fly to Los roques from caracas...

I was looking to book from here in the UK and encountered quite a few difficulties....Some airlines required emails in spanish which I tried, Chapi airlines couldnt take payment over the internet and said you had to pay in person, others didnt have the times/dates i needed etc and some I got pretty far with but thenm they wouldnt respond to my emails!

www.venezuelatuya.com had good communication in english but offered me really expensive tickets at 411 euros for a return ticket.

In the end I booked with a guy called Oscar from Explore partners. At first he said he couldn't get the dates I needed so I said i would research myself...after no joy with other airlines and no joy with emailing Oscar I called him and everything was sorted and i booked two flights at $255 return each for the dates I wanted. I also booked my posada in los roques with him. You can pay by bank transfer or paypal.

i suspect in low season you may be able to buy cheaper tickets direct from the airlines or from the domestic airport terminal in caracas but my dates are tight and i didnt want to risk it.

Hope this is of some help to anyone trying to book.

So what Posada did you end up choosing? We chose our Posada first and let then deal with air and even a hotel near the airport in Caracas. What time of year are you going? Hope you have a great time...be sure to report back here. Do you scuba?
