Does anybody know if we can exchange bolivar fuertes back to pounds or dollars back in the uk. And if so is that at the official rate of around 2.15 . And if we cannot, is it possible to exchange them back at caracas airport before we leave on the blackmarket and if so does anyone know at what rate. Thanks

Bolivares Fuertes are useless outside of Venezuela and cannot be exchanged. Even a Venezuelan friend suggested to me I keep them as souvenirs. I ended up posting my spare BsFs back to him.
They also cannot be changed back at Caracas airport, at least not officially. If you ask around some cleaning guy will change them back, but will ask a hefty price (around 6 BsF to the US dollar). Just spend them in the country, although keep 130 or so handy to pay the exit tax.

I tried also in the currancy exchange in England its about as popular as wall paper as currancy is concerned.
The controls are far to tight even at the Airport they tell you to go away and exchange on the black market. you cannot even Exchange in Madrid Airport so yes bsf is worthless.
There is no intrest in Venezuela for the British pound, its Euro or Dollar and to buy Euros back from the guys at the airport will cost 9bsf for 1 Euro, but as the Euro get stronger expect that to rise to 10bsf pretty soon.
You wont get ritch with the bsf even if you have a great exchange when you enter Venezuela looking like a tourist you will pay over the odds for most things.

Hi Rebg,
You would be better of just spending you're left over Bsf. Try the souvenir shops at the airport should you have some BsF left.
All the best.
