I plan on entering Venezuela by bus from Brasil via Manaus and Boa Vista in several weeks.

As I am an American citizen do I have to stop at the consulate in Boa Vista to get an entry card or can I go directly to the border?? (Of course I will confirm whatever info I receive in Boa Vista with the V. Consulate.)

What is the current exit tax for overland travel from Venezuela???

Thanks,

Delmar

As an American citizen, you no long need to go to the Venezuelan consulate in Boa Vista for paperwork to enter Venezuela. You can go straight to the border and everything is done there.

I just did this 2 days ago, May 17 th.
