Hi Guys

Just doing some research for a Caribbean/SA trip in May/Jun/July next year...planning on a visit to Angel Falls and was wondering if any of you had some advice on which tour company to use and on pricing. There will be 3 of us travelling and I expect that we would want to stay at the base of the falls overnight.

Any help much appreciated!

Hi,

From what I remember all of the tour companies are pretty similar in prices, my advice though would be to check how many people are going to be in your group as the smaller the better. All tours sleep in hammocks at the base of the falls, there are two or three different ones depending on which tour agency you go with but all are similar. The base in canaima is lovely too, surrounded by waterfalls.

Hi Wendymaco8,

As mentioned above pricing given by tour companies operating in the area are similar. Just make sure you are coming during the rainy season (june through late nov, early dec) The Falls are much more spectacular then and chances of reaching the base of the falls are much higher than in the dry season, when it often proves impossible to reach the base of the falls. As for getting a quote, I would wait until you are closer to your departure since prices change frequently in Venezuela due to high inflation rates.

Travel safe,

All the best,
