hi folks
i was wondering if anyone knew any details about attending a top baseball game in venezuela.
e.g venues,dates of games,venues, main teams and rivals,cost etc
i would be keen to see a game as iv heard its the most popular sport in Venezuela.
we are travelling from caracas to merida so anywhere along that route would suit us best!

You are probably best attending games in Caracas (Estadio Universitario / University Stadium). Valencia is also on the way to Mérida but you would have to stay there at least a day to attend a game.
You can get tickets there easily unless its a very crowded game (Caracas-Magallanes or Caracas-La Guaira). Better go to the more expensive seats close to homebase so you'll be away from the risk of pickpocketing.
Get a cab to drop you in a place where you can actually see the gates of the stadium and follow the people when you leave and grab another cab as soon as you see one.
Im not a baseball fan but I've certainly enjoyed many games there.
