Hi guys, my friend and I are looking at a quick trip to venezuela, mainly to see angel falls, but we're having a hard time getting our heads around it all! We're thinking of doing a 3 day 2 night trip- time is more important than money, and we're wondering if the 3 days is worth it? it's a once in a lifetime, so we're happy to do it if there's lots more to see. Also, has anyone booked online with angel-falls.com? Also any thoughts on bernal tours? We just like the look of them as you apparently can see the falls from camp( but not sold on the whole hammock as a bed thing! I'm no princess but never been a fan of sleeping in them, but not sure there's a lot of other options.
thanks for any insight!

I probably should have mentioned that we definitely want to do a boat trip to the falls, water levels permitting obviously. and if there's good visibility, we'd like to do a fligth over as well. thanks!

Hi. The standard 3 days-2 nights trip to Canaima is worth it.

We are having a strong, anticipated dry season down here in Venezuela. Rivers in Canaima have no much water by now; actually, excursions to Angel Falls were canceled las week. However, it's worth it to go there and sail through Canaima Lagoon, Sapo and Sapito falls, overfly the Auyantepuy and Angel Falls, or going to Kavac caves.

In my opinion, the best tour operators are Excursiones Kavac, Wey Tepuy and Serikö. They are Pemon natives owned and they are very nice and responsable people. They have thier own posadas and offer packs with air-ticket, lodging, foods and excursions included.

There's no on-line booking to fl to Canaima. Contact a tour operator by e-mail, phone or directly at Ciudad Bolívar airport. Flights depart every morning up to 8:30am.

A good plan for the current days could be:

Day one: Flight from CBL to Canaima. Boat trip to Canaima Lagoon and El Sapo falls.
Day two: Boat trip through Carrao river to Mayupa rapids, Pozo de La Felicidad and Isla Orquídea.
Day three: Kavac caves excursion. It includes overflying Angel Falls and Auyantepuy. Return to CBL.

See you...

I agree that Excursiones Kavak is excellent. Even in the dry season, Canaima has mind blowing scenery.

Hello,

We are planning a trip to Venezuela next year. Would you have the email addresses for the agencies mentioned?
Thank you

Sure. I don't have Wey Tepuy's e-mail address. Try this:
