Hi there,

i will be arriving in Vnzla on the 15 of December. This is the Itinerary i planned, but any suggestions / hints are appreciated

Day 1: Night bus to ciudad Bolivar
Day 2: Ciud. Bolivar
Day 3-6: 3 day Salto-Angel Tour - after returning night bus to Santa elena
day 7: Santa elena, looking for a roraima trip
day 8-13: roraima Trip
Day 13: Santa Elena - looking for a gran sabana Tour
Day 14-15: Gran sabana Tour
Day 16: Bus from Santa Elena to ciudad guyana
Day 17: Flight from ciudad guyana to Merida
Day 18: Merida
Day 19-23: 4 day los llanos Tour
Day 24: Merida
Day 25: Merida to chichiriviche
Rest of the time chilling in chichi..

I know the times between the tours are short, but if i have to wait longer for a tour to deport i just spent less time at the end in chichiriviche.

Does this itinerary sound logic / realistic to you? Any advices?

Cheers and thanks in advance,

Alex

Think you gotta factor in Christmass, Day 8-13 you plan to be doing roraima trip thats 23rd-29th Dec, you might find it hard to ge get tour operator wants to work Christmass and day either side, prob get a tour starting from Sat27th Dec. And from what everyone says, Merida sounds really good you should factor in another day there or so.

The destinations look fine, in chichiriviche you would want to go to the cayos (keys) which have nice beaches (Cayo Sombrero, Varadero, etc.). It is inexpensive to reach them via peñeros (boats).
The ultimate beach spot would be los roques, but it is much more expensive as you have to fly there.
Be careful to agree all dates with the tour operators as Venezuelans are very lazy around christmas.
Cheers.

I agree. I was amazed how much garbage people leave behind at the beaches. We also had frequent power outages and loud music all night. I left after 2 days.

Hi Alex,

You-re itinerary looks fine, nevertheless, as people suggest above, why not go somwhere other than Chichiriviche. It is very nice off-season, but during the holidays such as Xmas it will be very crowded. Why not start in Merida and then work your way down south to do the Angel Falls, Gran Sabana and Roraima. You could then get the bus to Ciudad Bolivar and from there go to some beaches in the west, which are on the whole less crowded than the beaches in the west.

I believe you were inquiring on Gran Sabana Tours departing in Dec. I can be of assistance. Please contact me via email fur further details.

All the best,

Thomas
