yellow fever vaccine

I have come acroos conflicting information regarding the need for yellow fever vaccination when entering venezuela overland from colombia, and flying to London afterwards.It states on the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention website that is is not a requirement, just a reccomendation,but i am not sure how reliable this website is as i am not farmiliar with it. Any help would be appreciated. Even just regarding the reliability of the website. I am not wanting to get the vaccination for health reasons, and am taking every other precaution to be responsible for my actions.
