work in chile?

Country forums / South America / Chile

Hi all, I am living in Chile and have been teaching english here for almost 2 years now. But i really want a more steady and regular job. one where you know how much you are going to make every month and are not running all over kingdom come everyday. But i am finding it very very hard to find anything. The chilean job market is very conservative and since i have a degree in anthropology, and am not some kind of 'engineer' i don't think i'll have much luck in the regular market. SO, I want to look for something that works with tourists or foreigners coming to live her, or do an internhsip etc... but am having such a hard time coming up with places or ways to look for such work.

any ideas? Please!

thanks,

daesha

it is only an idea, but test it, offer your expertise (anthropology, ethnic or cultural knowledge) to the astronomical centers, I know they have high demand of visitors, switching it to external operators, google for "paranal" "alma" "pachon" "la silla" "las campanas" "el tololo" may be adding some astronomical words
also try with multinational mining firms as Collahuasi, La Escondida, Barrick Gold
all these agencies have offices in Santiago
