Where to visit between Florianopolis and Punta del Diablo...

Hey guys, was wondering if anybody could help me out with suggestions on where we should stop off en route from Florianopolis to Punta del Diablo in Uruguay....will have 2 or 3 nights and looking to break the jourey up and was hoping for some ideas from those who have gone before.

The family I've been staying with here suggested Gramado? Any thoughts?

Hey Joe, I live in Porto Alegre and work at the tourist information centre of the State and I recommend Gramado too, and once you get there, you can visit Canela and Nova Petropólis, they are both next to Gramado. In Gramado there's a bunch of stuff you can do, it's a beautiful city. The others are great too, in Canela you can visit the "Cascata do Caracol" (Caracol Waterfall) Canela and Gramado are very famous for their Chocolate factories, there are a lot of that and they taste amazing. Need any more suggestions, let me know.

Depends on what you like I guess. We found Gramado overrated however enjoyed Antonio Prado, not far away.

Jennifer, do you think you could help me regarding info about getting a bus to gramado from florianopolis? I've looked online but couldn't find anything in English, thanks!

Hey, I searched and there's not buses from Florianopolis to Gramado; You will have to take a bus to Porto Alegre and from there to Gramado. It's very easy to do.
