I have some airline miles to burn and I'm looking to leave in the next week or two. Where would you recommend? I'm considering Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, or Ecuadar. South Africa is also on my list, but I may stick to Central/South America since I'm flying from Chicago and may not want to do a long flight on this trip. In Central/South American I've only been to Costa Rica, Guatemala and Brazil. Most of my travel has been in SE Asia.

I'm looking to go for 15-20 days to only one country. Yes, I know it depends on my interests, but I'm just open to hear what others have to recommend that have been to at least 2 of the countries listed above. Thanks!

I've travelled a lot in South America and would go for Colombia out of the places you've listed. Pacific and caribbean coast, colonial towns, lively cities, trekking in the Andes and adventures in the Amazon. What more can you want?

I've been to both Costa Rica and Argentina. While C.R. is nice, Arg. is amazing. They've got it all!
