Volunteer work in Santa Cruz

My team and I are stuck in Santa Cruz until thurday, we our on an expedition organised by the world challenge company. Unfortunatley our itinery has been completely changed due to the foul weather in la Paz. Now currently in Santa Cruz we are looking for some volunteer work to do, so as not to waste our time. We feel we would really love to get the feel of the cultre here, we are a keen and caring bunch and are up for anything. Any information you could give us would be greatly appreciated by all of us.

Volunteer from Tuesday to Thursday? I don't think you'll be of any help unless you'd just simply donate money, medicine and clothes to somewhere. Help a street kid, take it shopping, give them something to eat, listen to their story. That's the kinda stuff you can do in so few days.
