visa for brazil (again)

Anybody have any experience with the small Uruguayan consulates on the Uruguay/Brazil border? It seems that there are three or four of them: Artigas, Chuy, Rio Branco, Rivera. I'm hoping that they will be a bit less hectic than Buenos Aires or Montevideo and have quicker processing times.

A report based of first hand experience would be very useful to me.
