Hi guys!

Im looking for some infos on both national parks, carrasco or amboro. There is a trek which leads from the northern route of cochabamba and takes to three days. Its suppose to be fog-forest. After that we wanted to trek through the amboro park, south from buena vista. Can anyone recommend a special route?

Does anyoneone know how accessible they are? Can anyone recommend a guide or a tour company who provide guides?

In addition I heard that the wet climate really gets to leather-boots. I love my boots a lot (they have taken me a lot of places) and would like to know how to protect them best. We will be in the jungle-area for 3 weeks i think.

Thanks a lot!!!

Have a look at the recent thread "The beauty in the heart of Bolivia", 16-Feb-2008, and the web portal "Bolivia Online" at http://www.bolivia-online.net
Both are about Cochabamba and the surrounding country.

I hope you have tried searching here at the Thorn Tree. A search for Carrasco leads to the threads "Cochabamba - what to do???", 20-Apr-2007, and "Road to Uyuni from Cochabamba (and more questions)", 09-Nov-2007.

About posting here at TT: Apparently you have posted your question in the general South America branch. If you want more replies, I suggest that you post direct in the Bolivia forum. (If so, please mention that you have posted in the general SA branch, and now want to ask direct in the country forum, hoping to get more replies).

I wish you happy travels.
