Hello everyone,

Thank you for entering to the topic. I am planning my next trip through South America by the backpacker style that will last 6-7 months (July - December). I am peruavian so it'll begin in Peru. Travel to the South: Bolivia, Chile, Argentina. Then to the North: Ecuador Colombia. I will also visit Brazil but I still do not know if I will enter through the southern part (Uruguay) or North (Amazonas - Peru).** The problem:**

I wanted to start the trip in the South but I see that in August and September are winter months before it - before discarding the South and leaning towards the North - I would like to consult travelers or people who live in Chile / Argentina:

  • Climate ¿How hard and cold is the climate in Chile / Argentina?

-** Destinations or tourist activities and landscapes ** ¿Will you take advantage of the main tourist destinations in Chile (Valparaiso ¿Cloudy ?, Southern Area: Glaciers, Torres del Paine, etc. covered landscapes?) And Argentina (Patagonia, Puerto Madryn ¿Are some activities canceled? Are countries appreciated as much as in summer? Concentration in skiing activities?

  • Costs Do the costs for tourist packages increase a lot?

Aditional, Which routes do yo recommend?

My Transportation:
- South: Hitchhiking or a Finger
- North: Motorcycle

Lodging:
- Couchsorfing

Thanks a lot!!
