Country forums / South America / Venezuela

Does anybody knows the timetables from the buses heading at night to Merida. Unfortunately you can find in the web only the times for Merida-Caracas.

This site will tell you all you need to know:

Usually the night buses are leaving between 7:30-8:30 pm, it is minimum 10-13 hours to get to Merida. You have to be 1h before depurture to the bus terminal, not always are tickets available just when you get there as they sell in advance. Buses are comfortable with big space between following seats, toilets but aircondition is really freezing, need to dress warmly. a

Hello,

The latest night bus to Merida leaves at 09.00P.M daily from Peli Express bus station in Caracas, which is by far much more safer than La Bandera where buses to Merida depart at 09:15pm. Book in advance, especially if travelling at the weekend or on Public Holidays. As mentioned above take plenty of warm clothes as temperatures on these night buses get very cold.

All the best,

Thomas
