Bear in mind the tour we willl be on is going via Pisco, Nazca etc

Hi Guys,

I'm chasing some advice re our upcoming travels to central and south america. My partner and I intend flying into LA, we then have a friend who is sailing a yacht from Antigua. We intend joining him for a week then making our way from around St Kitts to Lima. We want to explore Peru and maybe Boliva for about one month before travelling up to Costa Rica and southern Mexico about 3 weeks.
What do you think about:
1. Travel from LA to Antigua
2. Travel from St Kitts to Lima
3. Can you hire surfboards in Peru? are they expensive to buy?
4. Travel from Peru to Costa Rica, were interested in either air or overland options depending on costs, time and safety.
5. Travel from Costa Rica through to southern Mexico and on to LA.

Cheers
Matt

aquaman74 - surely this should be posted as a new thread if you want to get the best answers - its not in answer to the OP.

In answer to the OP - one of the things I recommend is the antique car museum out on the outskirts of Lima - im not that interested in cars but thought this place was very good. There is info in the LP book and por in other guides.

We did a tour of the San Francisco Monastry for 5 soles which was well worth it. Beuatiful Moorish tiles mosaics, intricate carved wooden ceilings, interesting history and the tour included the catacombs full of 500 year old bones. Very cool
