Santiago to Buenos Aires by bus

Hello,

I've ran into some contradictory informations considering bus route from Santiago to BA. I'll be on a tight schedule, so I would like to do this as efficient as possible. So I guess in all cases you just have to transfer to another bus (in Mendoza) and continue to BA. Which company (site) would you recommend for online booking? Probably this would be a wise move, since seats can get sold out.

Well, you can still only book Argentine buslines online, from what know. For Santiago to Mendoza This would be andesmar (including their subsidiaries coitram and elrapido) , or catainternational. But, you can only book online (or buy tickets generally) the middle of the month before. Thet sent you e-tickets by email, generally very reliable. Bus tickets usually available the day before (or even day of for BA-Mendoza), about 2-3 days before in late December -early March for Chile - Mendoza.
