Google "Intentional Communities" and you'll find a few listed in Ecuador. You could also check on WWOOF farms, there are quite a few options in Ecuador, a few of which are ICs.

There is a WWOoF farm right outside of Baños, on the beautiful slopes of Mama Tungurahua (an active volcano).

It is run by a wonderful woman named Carol. You can find her through the WWoOf site, I think. It would be worth looking into, for sure.
