How many days in advance do I need to book busses in ArgentinaCountry forums / South America / Argentina
Hi | ||
On popular routes, the day before. Most of the time I booked the day before or day of and I was fine. Down in Patagonia, you might need to book a few days in advance. | 1
Over Christmas and New Year you should book ahead as far as possible. People will be moving around to visit family for the holidays. Normally a couple of days ahead suffices. | 2
We traveled in Argentina over Christmas, and due to the airline losing our luggage for a week we couldn't book any buses out of BsAs in advance. We had planned to go to Salta but all buses were sold out (I believe this was the 22nd) for 2 days. Ended up going to Cordoba instead... eventually made it to Salta 3 months later! | 3
But do you know any websites where it is possible to buy the tickets for EU citizens. I have tried omnilineas, but my purchase was not accepted | 4
Try again on omnilineas, there have been few problems reported with that site, http://www.omnilineas.com/ . If not there are lots of others, however with less of a selection of bus lines, such as http://www.plataforma10.com/ar/en/Servicios https://www.centraldepasajes.com.ar/cdp/(S(msifqf1krlz1b32foeled5hx))/home.aspx http://www.ticketonline.com.ar/home Oh, and apart from Christmas, New years, Easter and the usual international holidays, be aware of National Long weekends. For example, this long weekend is 4 days of holidays, Saturday December 5 to Tuesday December 8 Virgin's Day, so buses will be busy from this Friday on. Carnaval, February 6-9, 2016, is another 4 day weekend. | 5
