Hotels in Palermo/Recoleta - Buenos AiresCountry forums / South America / Argentina
Hiya! I've been told the best places to stay in Buenos Aires would be either Palermo or Recoleta. However, I'm having trouble tracking down hotels in these areas as most of the places thrown up by the online hotel websites seem to be in the centre of town which I heard is a bit deserted at night. I would apprecitate any suggestions about places to stay in Palmermo/Barrio Norte/Recoleta and would be interested in hotels or b and bs. Looking forward to visiting fantastic Buenos Aires again in May.:)
very downtown is pretty desert at night, because that area is full of offices, but some streets ago you have more activity. | 1

Thanks for your suggestions which I will certainly check out. I think my budget will be up to and around $100 per night so hopefully should get something for that in Palmermo (bed and breakfast perhaps). | 3
Actually with that budget you could rent a sweet apartment very close to everything...But understand that you will pay more then a local or even a Spanish speaking person...but if you are willing to spend your mentioned budget you can get a great apartment...with everything you would need... | 4
Hi All, I am looking for somewhere to stay for 2 nights with a friend, we will be staying a Monday and a Tuesday night and just want somewhere that is near good bars and restaurants with a budget of max US$100 per night. I will prob be jet lagged so somewhere clean and comfortable would be good. Is there much night life earlier in the week in BA? | 5
