I'm currently considering this trip, all over land from Boa Vista to Macapá at the end of August for about 35-40 days as I'm living in Brazil on a tourist visa.

I'm still stuck on how I should devide the time between each country. So far the consensus is Georgetown/Guayana has more to offer/is easier to navigate than Paramaribo/Suriname. How about Cayenne? How is hurricane season in this region? Also anyone have an idea of how Internet service compares in each country?

I think there's more to offer in French Guiana. If you're lucky enough to be there for a rocket launch. Devil's island is definitely worth an overnight, not just a day trip. St. Laurent has a cool museum. And there's relatively easy jungle access. F.G. is MUCH more expensive than the others and even worse it's terrible value for money.

Paramaribo is a UNESCO world heritage site and the markets can be fun. But casino scene isn't my thing and getting to the jungle is either a pain in the butt independently or overpriced in a tour.

Guyana is the same. Yes, the falls are pretty, but it's half a day unless you're hiking in. G-Town has some ok architecture, and the market is fun. But not much else. The "eco-tourism" is more like over-priced poorly constructed hotels in a field.
