Great. That's truly above and beyond the call of duty.

Any idea how strict they are at the Bolivian border? My wife's vaccination will not be 10 days old and therefore not "effective" or officially valid by the time we hope to reach the border at Villaron. Mine will be and I am hoping that the fact she has one at all and my preceeding her in the immigration line will slide us on through.

Thanks!

Travelers who do not have a valid ICVP will still be allowed to enter Bolivia if they agree to sign an affidavit exempting the Bolivian state from any liability in the event the traveler gets sick with yellow fever within the Bolivian territory. This last option may cause delays at the point of entry.

hi jorge,

cheers for the information. im going to come down to the clinic some time in the next few weeks, but you say i need my passport, which isnt a problem, but im a few months over my visa, so will this be a problem at the clinic? will they still give me the jab and not kick up any fuss about the visa? or could there be trouble?

thanks
nick

Jorge, thanks for posting so much really useful information. I can't tell you how much it's appreciated.

Regarding this clinic - does anyone know if they do any other jabs? Tetanus (TD or Tdap), typhoid, meningitis, etc?
I'm planning on going for the yellow fever shot and I may as well get as many done as I can.

Thanks.

Hello,

does anyone know whether I need a vaccination if I wanted to go Iguazu falls?
If I check it here: http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/contentUpdatedYFMapArgentina.aspx , it sure looks like it.
I was wondering if someone knows otherwise.

Thanks!

This vaccine is given free of charge. The only difference is that there are long queues now.

Sorry about sounding snobby here, but are the medical standards up to what I might expect in Europe and the US, ie. fresh needles, etc? The clinic itself certainly looks different to what we're used to!
