Estancia Recommendations

Dear all,
We are going to Argentina in late March/early April with our 3 month old baby. It is our belated honeymoon, and we would like to stay at an estancia outside of Buenos Aires for two nights. We are pretty down-to-earth people who like
good food, relaxation, nature. We hope to find an estancia, where we could relax with our baby, take walks, maybe swim in a pool or lake, eat well, check out a ranch. We don't care to ride horses or watch touristy dance performances.
My question for you is: does anyone know a tasteful estancia in not too far from BA where we could stay? Again- the more quiet, tasteful and good food, great nature the better.

There are many but they are all expensive and touristy.

Try the two brothers (Estancia los dos hermanos)

In case you still do not know I tell you that you need American dollars, euros or reales in cash to exchange on the Argentinian black market whose rate of exchange is much higher than the official one.

Which Estancia?

Estancia los dos hermanos is the non-cheesiest estancia around. Spend a day in the country riding horses and eating bbq steak without the cheesy song and dance and gaucho shows (which are kind of fun if this is what you are looking for)...but los dos hermanos is qualitatively different...great, well cared for horses....and rides tailored to your ability....at the touristy estancias you get a 10 minute ride on a broken down horse....at dos hermanos spend up to seven hours riding in the country side....the owners....the Peñas ...are some of the nicest people you could hope to meet in Argentina.
