El Chalten day trips and boarder crossing

Can anyone give me some advices for some daytrips in El Chalten?

And do you know about the best way to cross the border to Chile and move on to Balmaceda?

about the crossing El Chalten to Chile is by laguna del desierto until Villa O´Higgins

in Villa O´Higgins there a weekly bus to Cochrane (in summer two per week) and from Cochrane to Coyhaique daily buses (Balmaceda is the airport of Coyhaique)

There are 2 very popular dayhikes. Laguna de las 3 at Fitz Roy and Laguna Torres at Cerro torre. Both are amazing and there are other options and other places.
