domestic flight - "gringo tax"

Hello,
I am planning to book an internal flight from lima to cusco. I found out a big difference of price between the peruvian Latam website and the european one. This difference was called the "gringo tax". It seems that this tax does not exist anymore and from january 2018 it's possible to buy cheap fare even if you are not peruvian.
Is that correct? Did anybody have an experience with cheap fare tickets?

LATAM / LAN Peru and Ecuador have a two tired price system. The cheapest price class is reserved locals. Even if you do manage to bag a cheap ticket on the Peruvian website, they will whack you with a hefty supplement when you check in to your flight. Try Star Peru, Peruvian and LC Peru instead. These airlines charge the same price regardless of nationality.

The fact is that fights in Brasil with any airline are expensive, Brasil is not a consumer society and they charge as much as passengers are willing to pay. Budget airlines like in Europe or USA don't exist and LATAM is the most expensive of them all. You will often find if you travel from say Curitiba or Porto Alegre for example to Europe that the flight to Sao Paulo is more expensive than Sao Paulo to Europe

LATAM has this weird thing about two different prices for flights, which is sad because their services are really good.

If you wanna fly with a Peruvian airline, among the suggestions you were given I would pick LC Peru, they are locals and have a decent service :)
