Combining Diving and Snorkeling in the Galapagos

Country forums / South America / Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands

I am looking into Galapagos cruises for February. I am willing to book online or last minute - I haven't made up my mind on that. The thing is I am a diver, but my friend is not. Everything I can find is either one or the other. I would love to dive, but don't need it to be the primary focus of our trip. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or know of operators that offer diving and/or snorkeling? Would appreciate the help

Most -and probably all- cruises have snorkelling tours on the itinerary, some days even two times a day. Diving can be arranged when you are staying on the islands. I have seen divers on a (snorkelling) day trip from Isla Cristobal to Kicker Rock (aka Leon Dormido).

I'd recommend booking a cruise last minute from Quito. It will probably leave from S Cruz. If you want fly into S Cristobal before your cruise and dive Kicker Rocks, then catch the public speed boat to S Cruz. There are loads of diving options from S Cruz. Then do your cruise. Have a great trip.
