Border crossing Esquel - Futaleufú ?

I want to travel from Esquel, Argentina to Futaleufú, Chile and I haven't been able to find good information online. What is the best way to make this border crossing? Is it true that buses only run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays? Has anyone traveled by taxi, and if so, how does that work once you hit the border- are there taxis waiting on the other side?

Any tips regarding this crossing to-and-from would be very appreciated!
