Planning 16/17 days over Easter (between 23 March and 10 April, or a week later for the same period), with the aim of covering a bit of Chile and Argentina, and spend maybe 6 days in Patagonia (quite flexible with this).

I'm certainly a budget traveller, but ready to spend where necessary. The plan is to fly into Santiago and fly out of Buenos Aires, and I have been recommended to not miss Iguazu Falls. Tierra del Fuego and Southern Patagonia would also be covered. Also keen on some Whale watching!

Any suggestions of itineraries, or similar trips which worked for you, would be much appreciated! While it would be good to see a couple of cities, I am certainly in it for the nature. I am a little familiar with the 'normal' trip, but would like to go more on the off-beaten path. I can drive, but would prefer not to do so as I'll be traveling alone.

In 17 days, travelling to the main tourism spots and also to nature and off the beaten path places, in countries that extend for thousands of kilometers, and are not cheap, will not result to a budget trip at all !

I'm not too particular about the 'main tourism spots' tbh, but yes, I am aware this might not be a very 'budget' trip.

I did a similar trip to New Zealand earlier this year, which was quite similar, but I'd expect this one to be definitely less expensive given the economies!

I could also consider just spending the last couple of days in Buenos after covering 13-14 days in Chile and southern (Chilean)Patagonia. Any thoughts on this?
