Affordable Argentina: Not Anymore says Rough Guide.
Travellers frequently ask about the relative costs & value for money in different countries.

It is really disgusting that Aerolineas is resorting to such tactics to make a few extra bucks. They are going to end up driving people away which will, in turn, seriously hurt the national tourism industry in the long run.

This topic has already been discussed a 100 times on the forum and especially Jorge has much better information about this than the article. There are ways you still can get the resident fares in Argentina.

Agree with UruguayaYanqui. The problem is to deal with AR, which is 90% property of Spannair and is only looking to get a lot of money on a short term basis and has virtually a monopoly on flights in Argentina. Lan has only very few flights until now.

Compared to some other destinations I find Arg. very affordable. In regards to A.A. I wouldn't be too hasty to condemn them what with high fuel costs etc.

When there is not high demand Aerolineas Argentinas applies the Natalia fare which is similar to the unrestricted B fare applied until last August.
