A nice place to stay as a student.Country forums / South America / Argentina
I am planning a visit to Argentina, after I learn spanish, and when there I would like to study some of the local history, maybe learn Tango, maybe to learn to play guitar in the local style. any suggestions on any of this, finding a clean place to stay until I move on to other places?
my choice would be buenos aires, or salta. | 1
San telmo in BA is probably good for what you want to do. I think you could get a room for around 20 pesos pn. depends on you rbudget really and how long you want to stay there. Or try a home stay with a local family. | 2
ps - americans are not hassled more than other nationalities in venezuela. Mind you, they are not too friendly towards any white foreigner in my opinion. | 3
Most of the best places I stayed at in BA were close to the things I wanted to see or close to the Subte. I don't think there are many hostels that are out of the way. | 4
Don't forget to put numerous Maple Leaf patches all over your bags and you will skate through life with nary a problem since everyone will think you're one of the "good guys"! | 5
