Hello!

Based on the other comments, we would love to have a 2-day trek in Colca Canyon but unfortunately we have only one available day for that. We are not sure if it will worth but have we have decided to see it at least for the one day.

Could you please suggest any budget 1-day tours to Colca from Aqrequipa? Most of the tours online are around 70 USD.

Thank you!

Ioanna

Doing the Salkantay. A little confused about the tipping. LP suggest 100 soles for a porter and 200 soles for a cook. How many porters do they typically take? Do you get a personal porter, and if so, is that the only porter you tip? What about tipping the guide? Suggestions welcome. Leaving tomorrow.

We would like to visit Moray and Salinas. We would also like to walk between Moray and Moras but not between Moray and Salinas. We are in Pisac. We plan to take a bus to Urabamba and hire a taxi there. What's the best way to do this? Can we take a taxi from Urabamba to Salinas and Moray, then walk to Maras and take another taxi in Maras back to Urabamba? Suggestions welcome.

Hey friends! Looking for advice re: booking a hike up to Machu Picchu in mid-January. I typically travel and book things as I go, but I recently heard that Machu Picchu can book up months in advance. Is this the case mid-Jan, or is this more of a concern during the busier seasons?

Basically: do I need to worry about booking it now, or can I arrive with 3-4 days of buffer and still do the hike?

Thanks!
L.

I'm interested in doing the Santa Cruz trek. I prefer to go on a guided trek starting in Vaqueria and finishing in Cashapampa. I am planning to go to Huaraz, do the trek, and then go to Caraz. Is it best to arrange a guided trek out of Huaraz? In that case, do you leave from Huaraz and start the trek the same day? Is it possible to stay in Yanama and arrange a trek from there? I am planning to spend two nights in Huaraz. Is that enough time to arrange a trek?

Hi everybody

My girlfriend and I are from Belgium (30y and 27y) and we would like to do a Ausangate 5D/4N trek in the beginning of October. We’ll arrive in Cusco at the 29th of September. We can start the tour a couple of days later. We are looking for more people to join the trek, so we could split the price.

If anyone's interested, please let us know!

We are about to get our train and bus tickets for Peru, and just now we realised that on Inca Rail website it says how credit card, which was used for purchase, must be presented. That got me thinking if the same is maybe also for Movil buses, just as the website is in spanish, it could be that we haven't seen this. Does anybody know what the situation with Movil is?
(Peru rail on the other hand doesn't say anything about possesion of CC)

I personally find this ridiculous, because, just a simple…
