The owner and one worker of a zipline operation in Maras near Cusco were arrested and confessed being involved in the death of Spanish traveller Nathaly Salazar. She had plans to visit Maras and Moray on January 2, 2018 and on that day she disappeared without trace. Her bags were still in her hostel room. Her family and Spanish authorities started a search including specializd Spanish police liason officers who arrived in Cusco.
Now the local police made the arrests. One of the suspects confessed that the victim had suffered a deadly accident at the Zipline located in the area of Kacllaraccay, near Moray. The two staff did not report the accident, decided to hide the body and carried her in the trunk of a car to the Urubamba river that evening and threw her into the river.

An updated report from today, giving more details about the witness statements and evidence. The zipline staff had her mobile phone and gave it to the police, and both staff members confessed their involvement. There are witnesses who saw the victim at the zipline immediately before the accident.
