Hi.

Im heading to Peru next month for the first time next month for a 2 week trip.

And I'm strongly considering doing the Salkantay trek (yeah i know it´s rainy season)
I have been searching a bit online and it seems that salkantaytrekking.com got the best reviews around, but they are also more expensive than most other companies. The offer 5days trip including everything for 420USD, while I seen other companies online offering the same trip for around 300usd.

Is it worth paying the extra money to use salkantaytrekking.com over other companies? And will it be cheaper to book with them while in Cuzco?

I wouldnt worry about which company you use. They are all quite similar other than the top end companies which are better but considerably more expensive. Also the companies often join groups together so you can't be 100% sure the company you book with is the one you will be with. Wait till you get to Cusco and shop around there it will be a lot cheaper.

Hi I did the trek in other agencies that I don't have to say because is possible my account would be cancelled, but you can ask me if you want. If you want to realize this trek in rainy season you really are a "traveller". At final will know all worth up because is like a mission to complete :)

Hi, I would recommend Salkantay a lot! it is not so important the company, as you were told before, maybe doing reservations right there could be cheaper. Try to look online for new companies, (like in the second, third page of google) they tend to be slightly cheaper.
