I have narrowed the options to the following companies and would really like some feedback if anyone has any info. The first two are the cheapest ($280/$290) and I am not sure why! I know you get what you pay for but they seem to be the same as the more expensive ones as far as inclusions go and have given me the most appealing info...Pony said, in response to my question as to why they were so cheap ($309), that other companies buy their tours and then sell them from their own company for a greater profit...any truth to this? The last 3 are quite a bit more expensive ($375-$415) but I can't really see why....

We used United Mice for the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and were very satisfied. Food was great and vegetarian (as requested). However, they managed to screw up our bus reservations to La Paz, but straighted them out in the end.

Trekked the Salkantay route with United Mice in August. I wanted to be sure I went with a reputable agency, or at least one I had heard of (Looked into SAS, United Mice, and Llama Path). Yes, the price was more expensive that the other agencies you can find in Cusco, but I found the guide and staff to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The food and service were great. Definitely worth the increased price imo.
