Hello everyone,

We are heading to Cuzco and Arequipa shortly and thought of arranging the NAZCA flight from Lima instead of using buses to go there. Has anyone done that before? Do you have anything to suggest like a tour agency or any other info?

Thanks a lot!
Many happy travels to you all!

Hi,

We contacted Aero Condor about arranging such a trip for July 14th. They said that they need a minimum of 4 people to do the trip. It is about $350 per person, which is pretty pricey but we aren't going to be in Peru for very long since I only have two weeks of vacation time per year.

Don't do it!!!!

You'll be really disappointed. We took the bus to Ica and flew from there. It cost $150 and it wasn't worth it at that price. Even the Aerocondor people at the desk were trying to convince us to stay on the bus to Nasca and fly from there. However we were pressed for time on our way to Arequipa.

We caught an early morning bus to ica. Got off at the Palma something or other hotel which has an Aerocondor office. They transported us to the plane and then dropped us off in Huacachina afterwards. We stayed in Huacachina until 10-ish then headed into Ica to catch the cama bus to Arequipa - i'm sure you can catch the bus to Cusco from there too.

Save some money and at the very least fly from Ica. $350 is waaaaayyyyyy too much money - it doesn't matter how much money you have.

Hi guys,

Thanks very much for all this info. I had no idea it was SOOOOO expensive. We will try to go from Arequipa by bus on our way to Lima.

Safe and enjoyable travels!
