iquitos questions to those living there

hi ,
i have plans to settle down in iquitos for a while and have questions to the expats or those who are or have been living there for a while:
1. how much(on average, nothing fancy) should i expect to pay for apartment per month? is there a minimum period requirement?
2. is it possible to have fast and reliable internet connection installed at your apartment? how much does it cost? how long does it take to get it installed? what technology is it(if it is one requiring phone line - such as DSL, then can foreigners have phone line installed? what are the requirements?)
3. do you need to leave peru in order to extend your visitors visa or it can be done at immigration office in iquitos?can you get it extended 3 months at a time or less?
