Has anyone stayed at Inka Lodge in Lima? Has anyone used their airport transfer service? I get in late at night and just want to make sure they're reliable before I book with them.

Thanks!

I stayed at the Inka Lodge not too long ago. The building is nice, but the staff is not very reliable. I had booked online (through hostelworld) and they refused to honor my room reservation. Upon checkout, they gave me a very unrealistic exchange rate which resulted in my paying way too much. There are posted rates for the official taxi companies at the airport (40 soles with Green Taxi) in case the hostel is a no show or better yet book somewhere else. Flying Dog has several properties in much better locations.

Dreadful place. They also failed to honour my Hostelworld booking and demanded an extra US$12 per night. Hostelworld have failed to take this up with them and get my refund back - very disappointing.

Incredibly unfriendly staff, only one bathroom for the whole downstairs floor, a live worm crawling around my breakfast bread basket, the slowest internet ever experienced, you cannot let yourself in and out and incredibly over priced. My room had no windows and was on the other side of a very noisy air compressor that turned on and off every 5 minutes. The staff were unsympathetic and refused to move me. Avoid this place.
