Hey all!

I've been searching forums and Google for weather in November, but I can't seem to find concrete answers.

What is the weather REALLY like on the trail that month? I have booked with Alpaca Expeditions for the Classic Inca Trail towards the end of November. I'm not worried about the rain, this month just works for my schedule and budget. Will I need to bring a wool hat and a sweatshirt for the nights? Will it be more helpful to just store everything in a dry bag and put that in my daypack?

TIA!

I've done that part of Peru in November, and in December too. The most likely thing was bright sunshine in the morning and then some clouds and light rain later in the afternoon or early evening. There is some risk of a more serious weather system moving through and giving the region all day rain.

Any time of year in the Andes you should prepare for cold weather. A winter hat is a must and just a sweatshirt won't do it for the cold nights and early mornings. You need a warm jacket, and layers that you can take off as the day moves into warm shirtsleeve weather.
