Hi all,

We'll be in Huaraz for a few days at the end of our trip and need to make it back to Lima for a 3:40 am flight the morning of Dec 31. Looking at Movil Tours busses there are a few options for when we can leave Huaraz on the 30th. I'm favoring leaving at 1 pm to give us more time in town but with the trip being 8 hours, I just want to ask if it's a safe bet to make that we'll be to Lima in time? I figure even if the bus ran a couple of hours behind and got us into Lima by 10 or 11 pm that would be fine since our flight is so late (or early depending on how you look at it). However, I'm not familiar Peru roads (was there in 2010 but stayed mostly around the coast) but past experience traveling in South America tells me that between the mountains, the rain, and maybe low quality roads I should be wary.

Thoughts?

Better go to Lima one day before your flight. Theres enough things to do in Lima-
If you missed the flight, how much money would you lose ? How many hours would you need to spend working to earn that money ?
