Guide, Belen Market

Hi. Have you booked a hostel or hotel in Iquitos yet? Because a lot of them have their own guides, or at least guides who they recommend, who can take you to the market (and maybe butterfly farm and monkey island) for quite cheap. It's also fine to walk around the market without a guide, despite a lot of people saying it isn't (although a good guide will point out a lot of stuff). Just do the normal security stuff, watch for pickpockets and keep a good grip on your camera (if you want to take a really expensive camera with you, then maybe it's worth going with a guide).

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, I was thinking of a guide for the market more for the information than the protection.
