Hi everyone,
If you have travelled Peru & done the Machu Pinchu trek, what are your essential items to take?

Also what is best, a suitcase & a daily ruck sack or a large rucksack & a small rucksack?

Thank you

Certainly, not a suitcase.
As for the size of backpack, it's very individual. I always travel with 35 l backpack, no matter what destination or weather. Only one piece, which is very handy in all situations.
Due to varying altitude and temperature it's good to dress in layers. One item that I can recommend for high altitude is thermals (especially when sleeping in a tent).

As above, a backpack, one piece.

Hey,
I am a lazy person, who hates taking things in her back, buuuut, having a backpack is the easier best way to move around Peru, specially if you are planning to do trekking.
Last time I did a hiking, I didn't really have a list, I just put random useless stuff in the bag, but I found this, it might be helpful for you!
