HI all,
I have a question about leaving and entering Peru (and BOlivia as well!). I am in Peru for the second time in 3 months. I want to go across the border to Bolivia for just a day or two and then return to travel through Peru back to Ecuador...
I am a U.S. citizen. Is there any limit to the number of times you can enter Peru? For some reason I am thinking that I read that you can only have 6 months in one year. Since they have given me 90 days each time, but I have not used that 90 days, would I be able to enter a third time?
THis same question applies to Bolivia as well.
thanks for any imput!

I lived in Cusco all of last year and every 90 days went to Bolivia or Chile for a visa renewal run. There's no time limit on how long you can stay, but depending on who's working at Migraciones they may accuse you of working (moi?) and give you 60 or even 30 days upon entering.
I think the six-month limit is for Ecuador.
There's supposedly a new visa requirement for Americans to enter Bolivia, but as of now there's nothing in place (from what I've read here).

My experience is the same as the previous poster. I lived in cusco for three years and went in and out, sometimes only for a day and then back again. You get the question about working and need to evade it.... but I had loads of peru stamps and they never worried about that.
