I am personally fond of some (of other stuffs), but why would you ask such a question at an LP board, a renowned travel guide's chat-board? So peeps (both cokeheads and not) will think Peru is a cokehead haven?
People who want to snort coke is not Peru's problem, but if people come to Peru to snort coke , they become Peru's problem. And not just because of US' foreign policy.

Can I ask why people are so offended by this question.
I did not ask where to get coke? ,I did not ask what price? I personally don't take drugs and this was a legitament question as when I meantioned going to bolivia, Peru etc a couple of people had said that cocaine was everywhere.
Gee sorry for being so offensive. Who would have guessed that cocaine was available in South America.
If you don't want to spoil the magic, make sure you never watch the movie Scar Face, oh and make sure you avoid the Cocoa museum in La Paz.

To the point - we spent a week in La Paz and a week and a half in Cusco and didn't see anything like that.

Does anyone know the value of 1 pound (or 1 kilo) of 100% pure coke in Peru?
Curious...what is the difference between US prices?
Is it hugely more expensive than it was, say, twenty years ago?
