I will be traveling around South America from feb 10 until march 13th. Will be starting in Lima to Cusco and then doing sacred valley, MP before heading to lake titicaca. From there I plan on going to la Paz and then uyuni salt flats. The problem is I eventually need to make my way back to Lima for my flight back to the states. It's the cheapest way back. I'd like to go to paracas for a few days before heading back to Lima. What is the most efficient way to get to Paracas from Uyuni? I'd like to stop a few places in between, but am open to taking a flight as well. Please advise!

The smart thing would be start from Lima and go to Paracas first. You can do this in a few hours the first afternoon. Then one night in Paracas, go out to the Ballestas islands, and after spend the 2nd night in Huacachina desert oasis. 3rd night try for overnight bus from nearby Ica to Cusco, or maybe bus to Nazca, then to Cusco from there. And then resume your plan for Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, Bolivia. And with this plan, fly back to Lima from La Paz at the end, after exploring Bolivia.

For sure there are great places in Bolivia to stop between Uyuni and La paz. The most famous places are Sucre and Potosi.

If you've already booked your flight Lima to Cusco, then don't change your plan. You can visit Paracas/Ballestas islands/Huacachina by bus from Lima at the end of your trip. Paracas is only about 4 hours by bus from Lima.

Almost certainly you will need an international flight to get you back to Lima after Bolivia, because the alternative would be a long retracing of your route by Lake Titicaca, then really really long bus trip to Lima from Puno. Paracas is along this route, after Arequipa and Nazca. But if you go that route by bus, it doesn't make sense not to stop in Arequipa and see the Colca Canyon, and you're not going to have time for that.
