Hello

My girlfriend and I have been travelling around S America now for 2 months, currently in Quito, and are covered in bites!

Neither of us has been ill whatsoever (other than the usual traveller diarrhoea) I'm not trying to play down the whole Zika virus thing, but honestly I would not let it interfere with your trip. For anyone other than a pregnant woman the symptoms are what I believe to be flu like.

Safe travels!
