We are four siblings that frequently travel together in off the beaten path type locations. We wanted an eco friendly but authentic jungle experience. We didn't want to do the commercial "Lodge" tours that are available. We found a wonderful, local, certified guide out of Coca that gave us just the experience we wanted. He took us 185 miles into the forest....much deeper than any of the lodges. His prices are much, much less expensive than the lodge's prices and as he grew up in one of the indigenous communities, our experience was very authentic. His English is excellent as he studied environmental science in Boston for two years. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable but he proved to be warm, funny and a joy to be around.
