I am flying into quito tomorrow. Yet i dont know nothing about where to go. I definitively would love to see lava and vulcanoes. So first question- where can you see fluent lawa, i mean where is it really impressiv, so that you almost could touch it? Second question- does anybody know a place (beach or other, where not tooo many tourists go), where one likes to stay for longer? Because i need a place to rest, for at least two weeks. Thanks for advises. Veroni

Volcano Tungurahua at Baños but don't get too close -it is dangerous.

There are numerous quiet beaches on the Pacific Coast once you get away from the towns -you will need transport to get to them though.

Tunguragua is Ok. Do not miss the raising to Pichincha Volcano with the cable car.
Once in Banios take the Chiva to make the waterfall route. An visit my friend German Pangua (rainbowexpeditions2005@hotmail.com) to visit the Rain Forest
