I am flying into quito tomorrow. Yet i dont know nothing about where to go. I definitively would love to see lava and vulcanoes. So first question- where can you see fluent lawa, i mean where is it really impressiv, so that you almost could touch it? Second question- does anybody know a place (beach or other, where not tooo many tourists go), where one likes to stay for longer? Because i need a place to rest, for at least two weeks. Volcano Tungurahua at Baños but don't get too close -it is dangerous.
There are numerous quiet beaches on the Pacific Coast once you get away from the towns -you will need transport to get to them though.

Tunguragua is Ok. Do not miss the raising to Pichincha Volcano with the cable car.
