Hi All,

Landing in Quito tonight and the guys at the hotel say it has been raining bad and very cloudy lately in Quito. Could someone on the ground please tell us what's weather is like now/has been in last few days in the Central Sierra, around Quilotoa, Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, and Sangay National Park? Also, interested to know weather in major towns around, e.g., Riobamba, Banos, Latacunga, Alausi.

If it's raining all around Central Sierra, could someone please suggest other places to travel to for good hiking options and to see some colorful markets, etc. I'll been to Otavalo and Oriente so looking to go somewhere else.

Many thanks in advance!
/alter.

It´s been very wet and cloudy recently. There´s been bad flooding in parts of Quito and Cuenca. As far as I know it´s the same right across the Sierra at the moment. It´s not typical weather so hopefully it will break soon.
